| The purpose of this workshop was to present the results of the International Energy Agency’s Annex 46, “Holistic Assessment Tool-Kit on Energy Retrofit Measures for Government Buildings”. The Tool Kit is the efforts of representatives from the US, Canada, and several European Union countries. The workshop was intended for decision makers, energy managers, performance contractors and designers. The main objective was to provide tools and guidelines to improve the working environment of Government Buildings through energy efficient retrofit projects. Many of the members of the International Energy Agency were present at the workshop. Attendees received the results of the Annex which included: a detailed energy assessment and analysis methodology/protocol; an extensive set of case studies and screening studies for various energy conservation measures; a report on lessons learned from energy savings performance contracts in the participating countries; and an electronic workbook or toolkit that integrates all of the information developed. The focus of the workshop will be how the results of the Annex can be applied to produce more effective energy efficient retrofit projects at government sites. CD’s including the major products of the Annex were provided to participants. |
